Nicolas Duny discussed this with Taras Kachkowski, a member of the organizing committee of the Prince Albert Ukrainian Fundraiser as well as a member of the subcommittee preparing for the arrival of refugees at the Ukrainian Canadian Congress.

He said a food organization approached him at a protest against the war in Ukraine in March.

Together they decided to raise funds to help those fighting the war in Ukraine.
