Eighteen months after the establishment of the investigation into the murders in April 2020 in Nova Scotia, lawyers representing the majority of the 22 victims said they were concerned about its slow pace and the lack of testimony.
For Josh Brysondefending the interests of the family The fart at Joy Bond, a retired couple murdered at their home in Portapique on the night of April 18, 2020, the investigation was too slow. He was also concerned about the small number of people who testified under oath.
The lawyer Tara Miller says the investigation is running out of time. Most of the evidence has yet to be heard. The commissioners must submit their final report by November 1st.

So far, the inquest has been heard from 21 witnesses, but only nine RCMP officials.
No senior police officers have yet testified about the shooting. Some should do this in the next few weeks.
Mrs. Miller says his clients believe the commissioners relied too much on the documents at the expense of live testimony.
