Risk of severe storms and tornadoes in Ontario and Quebec

Hit by hot and humid weather, southeastern Ontario and southern and central Quebec are under a series of warnings and weather watches.

Strong gusts of wind passed through most parts of Toronto on Saturday afternoon. A boat carrying 15 to 20 people capsized during a severe storm near the shores of Lake Ontario.

Extreme storm surveillance has been removed by Environment Canada.

However, severe hurricane warnings are currently in effect for some cities in southern Ontario.
