The lifeless body of a man in his early 20s was found Tuesday in a Laval residence where the attempted home burglary took place.
Earlier in the day, the Laval Police Service (SPL) treated the case as a suspicious death. No arrests have been announced yet.
According to the spokesman for SPL
Officer Erika Landry, called 911 around 1:55 a.m. of the couple who had just detained a family member.The two men said they had just experienced an attempted burglary at their residence located on Place du Cormoran, in the Sainte-Rose district.
It was while reporting at this location shortly after Laval police officers found the man dead.
Hours later, officer Erika Landry could not say if the body had signs of violence.
SPL investigators and forensic identification technicians began their work to try to figure out what happened. The two people who called 911 will be questioned during the day.
Police placed a mobile command post in front of the residence to support the investigation work and meet with possible witnesses.
