Although the anniversary is not celebrated in general, it is significant, according to Amadou Ba, noting that young people are beginning to recognize the importance of the day and the benefit of the unity of the people of Africa.

Something new is happening especially with the renewal of the youth.

Despite this promise of youth, the historian added that the will of the African Union did not necessarily represent the expectations of the population. Amadou Ba still believes that this World Africa Day will continue to generate more interest from Africa’s young population.
