Two drunk women were caught driving over the weekend by the Sherbrooke police department.
At around 3 a.m. Saturday, a 22-year-old female driver was arrested after colliding with a vehicle parked near the Maison du Cinéma in downtown. He was intercepted a bit in the distance as he tried to hide from the police. He had a blood alcohol level three times the legal limit.
The following night, a 30-year-old woman, who had just come out of a party, was arrested at the corner of East King and Curtis streets. His alcohol level was twice the legal limit.
The two women will be charged later.
Moreover, the Sherbrooke Police Service has not reported any incidents directly related to Beerfest. Also, no arrests were made in the context of a roadblock conducted on Saturday night.
