Jean-Bertrand Ngoue, 35, has beaten and assaulted an ex-wife on multiple occasions.

Judge Rachelle Gagnon noted that the victim suffered significant psychological after-effects, in addition to physical after-effects.

With her scars, the woman still has burn marks on her hand, as Ngoue stub a cigarette there to test her endurance of the pain.

The crown sought an 11-year sentence, while the defense suggested 7 years.

Because Jean-Bertrand Ngoue has been incarcerated since his arrest, he has just over 7 years left to serve the 10-year sentence imposed on him.

Violent acts

In addition to repeatedly raping her ex-husband, she committed several physical attacks on him, specifically strangling and slapping her.

At one stage of violence, after sexually assaulting the maiden, he touched her by the hair, tearing the plates off her.

The man then urinated on the victim who was forced by his tormentor to clean up the blood and urine after the attack.

List of sufferings

Jean-Bertrand Ngoue sinned against himself by drawing up a list of the suffering inflicted on his ex. Police seized the document when he was arrested in July 2020.

During his trial, he denied the facts, saying he wrote this list at the victim’s request.

Judge Gagnon described these explanations as unreliable, before he was convicted.
