Three teenagers are facing charges after two separate pellet gun shootings occurred Monday at two schools in Toronto.
In the first incident, Toronto police were called around 12:45 pm Monday at a school in the Bloor Streets West and Dundas Streets West area. A 17-year-old woman was taken to hospital after being hit by a pellet gun.
A 15-year-old boy was arrested by police. He is accused of using dangerous weapons and will appear in court on July 12.
The second incident occurred just after 4 pm Monday, also west of Toronto. Police were called to the secondary school, this time in the Weston Road and Pine Street area, where a 15-year-old boy was shot in the head and arm with a pellet gun on school property.
He was taken to hospital with non -life threatening injuries.
Police found two teenagers armed with pellet guns around the school.
In the second shooting, a 15-year-old man was charged with assault with a weapon and possession of dangerous weapons, while another 17-year-old man was charged with possession of dangerous weapons.
The two shootings are being investigated separately and officers are asking any witnesses or anyone with information to contact them.
Police are also reminding people who own pellet guns to use them in a safe and legal manner.
