The spokesperson explained that the company is waiting until the end of the billing period to ensure the end of service to its customers.

Netflix is the world’s leading streaming platform with 221.8 million subscribers at the end of 2021, but its presence in Russia was small.

In an April letter to shareholders, the company said it would lose nearly 700,000 subscribers after withdrawing from Russia, describing the situation as the company’s first global subscriber decline in a decade.
