Several vandalism activities in the Masson-Angers sector in Gatineau

Several motorists were found vandalized their vehicle over the weekend in the Masson-Angers sector in Gatineau.

For some, the injury was caused on Saturday night. Others had a bad surprise on Sunday, when they woke up.

Reports include flat tires, broken bodywork and a cracked windshield.

Patrick Pagé found on Saturday morning that his vehicle had been the target of vandals.

Neighbors told us they heard a big boom around midnight. I looked at my cameras and I saw two people, two silhouettes. One man kicked the car door, another climbed into the hood and kicked the windshieldhe says.

Mr. Pagé said he filed a complaint with the police.

The Service de police de la Ville Gatineau (SPVG) indicated that it was aware of these incidents that took place in the area over the weekend. Police confirmed there were formal complaints about it, but did not say how many.

No arrests have been made in the case so far.

Still in the same place, Henriette Laroque also recounted being a victim of vandalism recently. They stoned his house and smashed the window in his living room.

So far, police have not made a direct link between the incidents, but note that many took place in the same area, near rue Neuville and rue de Liesse, in Masson-Angers.

The SPVG indicated that it planned to increase its presence and visibility in the affected quadrangle.
