Atletico-GO defeated LDU (Ecuador) 4-0 this Tuesday (5th) at Antônio Accioly Stadium in the first round of the Copa Sudamericana group stage. The result left Dragon with three points at the top of the key F’s classification.
After a busy first half but goalless, Atletico-GO opened the goal in the 16th minute of the last stage when Jorginho scored against Wellington Rato. Fifteen minutes later, shirt 10 assumed the role of waitress and, after a good individual move, crossed for Shaylon to separate from hers.
But the Brazilian team wanted more and finished third in the 41st minute rehearsal free kick that resulted in Hayner’s kick. The fourth player came out at 48 and midfielder Rickson took advantage of the rebound.
The dragon returns to the field next Tuesday (12) to compete against home away from Defensa y Justicia (Argentina).
