Four young members of a street gang were arrested by the SPVM

Four youths between the ages of 15 and 20 were arrested last night by the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM). Investigators suspect they were involved in events of armed violence that have occurred in recent months.

To our information, the four suspects are part of Block 6. It is a criminal street gang known to the police, which does not hesitate to threaten, attack and intimidate with guns to impose itself around secondary schools and in their borough park. of Anjou, in Montreal.

The street gang would be “easy to trigger” for trivia, according to what Radio-Canada sources revealed.

The four youths were notably associated with a series of events that took place near Anjou’s secondary school as well as in the parks of Lucie-Bruneau, Goncourt and Roseraies.

Investigators found a firearm, ammunition, vehicle entry equipment and other evidence in the two searches. They also questioned the four youths, who remained in the interrogation room overnight.

At the time of this writing, Friday afternoon, two of them are scheduled to show up during the day. The other two were released on a promise to appear.

The group faces a series of charges, including possession of a prohibited firearm, theft in vehicles, intimidation and assault.

On the other hand, the six-month investigation led to the arrest of eight minor students at a secondary school in Ahuntsic – Cartierville.

The group is under criminal investigation for a series of extortion, harassment, and intimidation involving a student at their high school.

The investigation was initiated thanks to information from the socio-community officer SPVM to his colleagues in criminal investigations.

Two of the young suspects were pending trial on Friday afternoon.
