Two people were injured in a vehicle crash on Highway 401 Sunday morning west of Toronto, according to Ontario Provincial Police.
A police officer at the scene said two people were taken to hospital, including a woman with potentially fatal injuries.
The eastbound collector lane will be completely closed east of Morningside Avenue and will remain closed for several hours, according to police.
Photos from the scene show a car crushed on its side after colliding with guardrails on the side of the freeway.
A reconstruction unit was at the scene of the collision, according to Ontario Provincial Police. Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at 416-235-4981.
