A notice of boiling water in force in Dieppe

A boiling water advice was issued for the Saint-Anselme and Fox Creek neighborhoods in Dieppe, New Brunswick.

The municipality explained that there was a water main break on Melanson Road. Staff are currently working to repair the damaged.

To allow for work, the water supply will be delayed for part of the day on Thursday.

All residents must follow these guidelines:

  • Water intended for drinking should be continuously boiled for at least one minute, including water used for brushing, making ice, making coffee/tea/juice, and washing fruits and vegetables. . Remember that home water filters cannot remove microorganisms that can make you sick;

  • babies and children should be sponge washed and made sure they do not drink or swallow water;

  • the water can be boiled in a kettle, a saucepan on the stove or in an electric kettle with no automatic shut-off option;

  • it is not necessary to boil water used for bathing, bathing and washing clothes, hands or dishes. When bathing or bathing, avoid swallowing water.

The municipality has specified that it will send a notification when the boiling water advisory is removed.
