“The father of my children, Edward Lake, found our little ones [au paradis] so they can play together, forever,” Jennifer Neville-Lake wrote on Twitter, confirming her husband’s death.
Mrs. Neville-Lake specifies that his death occurred on Monday, the day after Father’s Day. An event that she herself had marked on Twitter by posting a photo of the tombstone of their three children, Daniel, Harrison and Milly.
She wrote there: Father’s Day 2022. This shouldn’t be real. It is not possible.
Hundreds of messages of condolence have already been posted to Ms Neville-Lake’s account.
” I love you, Edward. “
York Regional Police Chief Jim MacSween also confirmed Mr. Lake’s death on Twitter.
The losses suffered by the Neville-Lake family are heartbreaking, he writes. May you find strength in the support of your community.
The three Neville-Lake children were killed in a 2015 collision in Vaughan, a suburb of Toronto, as was the family’s grandfather. Marco Muzzo, who was driving while intoxicated, had crashed into their vehicle.
Daniel Neville-Lake was 9, Harrison, 5 and their sister Milly, 2. Gary Neville was 65.
The children’s grandmother and great-grandmother were also seriously injured in the crash.
The driver Marco Muzzo, who had survived the collision, has already served his sentence for drunk driving.
He was sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty in February 2016 to four charges of impaired driving causing death.
His blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit.
He was granted full parole in February 2021.
