A 51-year-old man died of his injuries after being shot Tuesday morning outside a car wash in eastern Montreal.

According to our information, the victim was Stéphane Dupuis, known to police in the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).

He was hit at least eight times in the chest by the shooter who rushed him into the entrance to a car wash on Metropolitan Boulevard. Resuscitation maneuvers are futile.

Dupuis has been known since the early 2000s by the police for his drug pushing activities as well as his ties to criminal bikers and the mafia.

Stéphane Dupuis escaped an assassination attempt in the Vimont district, in Laval, in October 2020said the police source.

The vehicle of the killer of Stéphane Dupuis was found burnt in the borough of Saint-Léonard.

The burnt vehicle used by the shooter to flee the crime scene was found in the borough of Saint-Léonard, rue Follereau.

SPVM investigators quickly determined that it had been reported stolen by its owner.

The way it does it has the signature of outlaw bikerscomment by the same police source.
