After the entrance of 89 deputies to the National Assembly, they prepare the monitoring of the party. Jordan Bardella, the current interim president of the National Rally, and Louis Aliot, the mayor of Perpignan, should cross to take the lead, officially on November 5.
To be able to compete, the candidates must deposit until September 9 at least 76 signatures of members of the 400 national council, according to information from BFMTV, before convincing the militants.
Much appreciated by activists, with a presidential election considered successful and a historic group in the National Assembly, Jordan Bardella seems to have a boulevard in front of him while Marine Le Pen does not represent himself.
Operation seduction in social networks
To prepare for his campaign, his relatives went on the offensive. Laure Lavalette, deputy of the Var, started from a long tribune this Monday in current values calling on activists to make “the choice of reason and heart” by voting for him.
In response to this initiative, many party executives shared photos with the 26-year-old, including Caroline Parmentier, one of the former presidential candidate’s close friends.
His former press secretary, now a deputy, thus praised “his incredible talent and above all his human quality, rare in politics.”
A delicate campaign for Louis Aliot
Louis Aliot, the mayor of Perpignan, is also in the running. Certainly appreciated, the councilman, engaged in RN since 1990 and former very close to Jean-Marie Le Pen, does not represent the renewal embodied by Jordan Bardella.
Another pebble in the shoe: his separation with Marine Le Pen, made with pain, which did not really leave him with good memories internally.
Searching for sponsorships is also complicated. But he has for him the project of working far upstream in the future municipal elections of 2026, a decisive tool to continue giving credibility to the party in the face of the presidential election a year later.
No official support
For her part, the former presidential candidate assured that she will not assume an official position.
Electronic voting will begin on September 30, for a month, until voting closes on November 3, before being announced in Congress two days later.
