The Minister of Labor, in an interview with the JDD, affirms that “progressivism has the possibility of expressing itself within the Renaissance.”

Social democracy “no longer makes sense” and must give way to a left-wing “progressivism”, he defends on a platform in the Sunday newspaper the Minister of Labor Olivier Dussopt, supporting a left wing of macronism.

“We are not going to rebuild social democracy!” affirms the former socialist, “for the simple and good reason that the vague turns to the extreme left, in a counterhistorical movement, have made the word meaningless: no no longer has any meaning and no longer indicates a direction.

And Olivier Dussopt calls for “turning the page and fully vindicating progressivism”, defined as the aspiration to “social, social and scientific, industrial and human, educational and environmental” progress.

“Progressivism has the possibility of expressing itself within the Renaissance”

Progressivism “sets the whole of society in motion, never by forced march, but in dialogue, consultation, listening; method that, under the direction of the President of the Republic, will accompany the evolution of our distribution pension system”, he continues.

“An advance that should allow new advances such as the increase in small pensions to 1,100 euros, as important for social justice as the implementation of the Smic”.

“Progressivism has the possibility of expressing itself within the Renaissance”, he wants to believe: “It has its place. But it will not be limited to that, simply because the great aspirations always go beyond the framework of the parties. In this logic, it is now necessary for progressives to meet, invent and propose. They must speak out to each other, speak out to the French people.
