The young Argentine footballer de Merlo Giuliana Gómez died this Saturday afternoon in a fatal accident on his way back from Santa Fe with his team.

The tragic news was confirmed by the club on its social networks and shortly after by Alfa.

The rose of Argentino de Merlo, which also integrates Olive dewDiego Maradona’s former partner, he was returning in a caravan trailer when the vehicle in which Gómez was traveling suffered an accident on Route 9.

Gómez was traveling with three companions and a driver and the accident occurred at kilometer 128 of Route 9.

“On the saddest day in the club’s life, we have to report the disappearance of the player Giuliana Gómez,” the club reported.

In the same text he adds: “We have no words to express the immense pain that this loss causes us, we accompany his family and friends in this terrible moment”.

Due to the fatal accident, the club decided to keep the facilities closed this Sunday, so the match that the local team was supposed to play for the First C against Laferrere has been suspended.

“The authorities of the club are going to the scene of the accident to provide assistance and accompany the athletes”, they specified from the club.
