Lionel Messi will miss next Wednesday’s match that could designate champions Paris Saint Germain in Ligue 1 for a minor Achilles tendon injury. The main rivalry is against Angers as a guest and this could mean Argentina’s first player title at the French club.
The medical side of the Parisian club determined that Messi “is still undergoing treatment for inflammation of the left Achilles tendon” and “a new point will be made within 48 hours.”
In a brief club statement they also detailed that Marco Verratti suffered injuries, with bruise on left knee; Y Presnel Kimpembe, with pain in the right knee. In addition, they reported that Leandro Paredes “also continued to be treated by the Club’s medical staff after his pubalgia surgery.”
