Neymar Júnior and Danilo will miss the remaining two group stage matches, against Switzerland and Cameroon, with ankle injuries.
Both Neymar and Danilo were injured in the 2-0 win against Serbia and both players went through tests this morning in Doha, before a training session at the Grand Hamad Stadium where they weren’t present.
According to Brazilian media reports, both players will not be able to return before the end of the group stage.
The loss of the Juventus Turin player could lead to the presence on that right side of Éder Militao, who took over against Serbia, or Dani Alves, who is present in the Brazilian squad at 39 years old.
For his part, without Neymar, Tite has the option of deploying Antony, from Manchester United, or Gabriel Jesús or Rodrygo as a second striker.
The Brazilian coach hopes to recover Neymar before the end of the World Cup, but this injury has kept him out for more than 300 days in his career and could force him to play reduced for the rest of the tournament.
