Mexican boxing world champion Canelo Álvarez surprised on Twitter with a series of messages against Lionel Messi. The famous boxer reacted this way, annoyed by a viral video in which they accuse the Argentine of having trampled on a shirt with the colors of the Aztec team.

“Did you see Messi mopping the floor with our shirt and flag????” Canelo wrote in the first of his tweets.

The image has to do with the celebrations of the national team in the locker room of the Lusail stadium after the 2-0 victory over Tata Martino’s team, for the second round of group C of the World Cup in Qatar.

In an excerpt from the video, Leo appears to be taking off his boots without realizing that he was wearing a rival team shirt underneath. That was what bothered Canelo, beyond the fact that his followers tried to explain to him that it was a random situation.

Canelo was more: “Ask God I don’t find him!”, he fired, in a threatening tone.

“Just like I respect Argentina, you have to respect Mexico!! I’m not talking about the country (Argentina), I’m talking about Messi because of his blowjob he gave,” insisted Canelo, famous for his last-gasp nationalism when he spoke about his country. For example, he refuses to answer questions in English. And before each fight he gets into the ring with the mariachis, wearing clothes and hats typical of his culture.

“The fans are one thing, we for example are another… don’t be too much!!”, concluded the boxer, who didn’t pay too much attention to the comments of his own fans, many from Mexico.

It’s that Messi doesn’t seem to disrespect the shirt but rather is a typical image of any dressing room, with some mess and clothes thrown on the floor. He is not a flag.

Furthermore, it must be said, throughout his career Messi has never been characterized by controversies of this type, quite the contrary. He is admired for his football but also for his humility on and off the pitch.

New in development.
