Brother of journalist who died after wearing LGBTQIAP+ T-shirt believes in crime
The Journalist’s Brother Grant Wahl, Eric Wahl has stated that he believes he was killed in Qatar. The professional would have tried to enter one of the World Cup games with a T-shirt defending LGBTQIA+ rights and was prohibited from entering the stadium dressed in it. Weeks later, he became ill and died.
Grant was to cover the US-Wales game when he was stopped for his attire, as many Middle Eastern countries criminalize same-sex sex.
“My name is Eric Wahl. I live in Seattle, Washington. I am the brother of Grant Wahl. I’m gay”, he said in the video posted on Instagram.
“I am the reason he wore the rainbow jersey at the World Cup. My brother was healthy. He told me he received death threats. I can’t believe my brother died. I believe he was killed. And I just beg for any help.” It is worth mentioning that the brother had been feeling sick a few days before the match between Argentina and the Netherlands, but tested negative for Covid-19.
“We are still trying to figure it out. He collapsed at the stadium, received CPR, was taken by Uber to the hospital and died according to Celine [esposa de Grant]???????? We just spoke with the State Department and Celine spoke with Ron Klain and the White House,” commented.
