Argentina was a fair winner of the final and deserved World Cup champion in Qatar. In addition to suffering and ending up being defined by penalties, he played very well and was superior in most of the match. Mainly because they had a different player like Messi and with senior team mates who will have many years ahead to make us happy, because of their quality of play and because they are very talented youngsters with a great future.

But there will be time to think about the future and to further strengthen the national team and Argentine football. Now is the time to enjoy this title and to celebrate that the national team has managed to become champions again and that Messi has been able to lift the World Cup, which he deserved. And thank you too.

Thank you for making all Argentines happy. I’m proud that they defended the national team shirt, which makes me proud to have worn it once. I want to congratulate the entire national team, its players and coaching staff, and especially Pablo Aimar, who delighted me to watch him play. And also to remember those who are no longer with us, such as Alejandro Sabella, Leopoldo Luque and Diego Armando Maradona, who certainly encouraged from heaven and committed themselves to the national team winning the world championship.
