Reforms in Argentine football: the First National team will have three relegations and a final in 2024 to add a promotion

The president of the Argentine Football Federation (AFA), Claudius Tapia, announced that the next Primera Nacional tournament will contemplate three relegations to Primera B or Federal A, as the case may be. In the same order, the head of the division and vice president of the entity, Marcelo Achille, announced that the 2024 season will include another participant, the product of the winner of a final between teams from the metropolitan and internal divisions.

The announcements were the preamble to the draw for the appointment of the First National 2023, which takes place in the offices of the entity that operates in the complex which also concentrates the activity of the selections, in Ezeiza.

By this way, the AFA begins the restructuring of the categories of the Argentine promotion that Clarin anticipated last week. After the draw, the directors of the different categories present will share a lunch in which they will explain the details that the tournaments will have until 2016.
