On your social network profile instagramNicolía assured that he usually hears cries of “murderer” when he plays on the pitch for the blue-and-white team and that “everything has a limit”.

“For 9 years, every time I went to the Dragão Caixa (Porto stadium) the people behind the substitutes’ bench yelled at me ‘murderer, you killed your wife’, and so many things that I’m even ashamed to say,” he said the striker.

In his publication, the Argentine international recalls joining Benfica in 2014, shortly after his wife died of illness.

“It’s a pity that in a sporting event this is done, using the death of a person who has fought an illness, laughing at death itself, a shame. I spent 9 years listening to these things at every game, but today I say enough“, he wrote.

Nicolía’s relief comes after this Wednesday’s match between Porto and Benfica for the championship, which the “dragons” won 3-0.

Carlos Nicolía (from San Juan and member of the Argentine national team) is one of the main figures of Benfica, a team with which he won two championships, 2 cups and a Portuguese Super Cup, as well as a Champions League.

He is also one of the most controversial players in Portuguese hockey, where he often gets into fights with opponents.

He was recently proclaimed world champion for the second time with Argentina after beating Portugal 4-2 in the final last November in his native San Juan, where he scored.
