Bayern Munich completed a decade of domestic dominance after beating main rivals Borussia Dortmund, 3-1 on Saturday to capture their 10th Bundesliga title and extend their record.

Goals from Serge Gnabry, Robert Lewandowski and Jamal Musiala sent Bayern within 12 points to second -placed Dortmund with three games of the season remaining.

is eighth consecutive league win Bayern against Dortmund, who have not won from a match against Munich since 2014.

Bayern’s 10th consecutive German championship is a record in the top five leagues in Europesurpassing Juventus ’nine consecutive Serie A titles between 2012 and 2020.

Bayern players celebrated with the usual pouring of beer. French defender Benjamin Pavard was the first to pour Julian Nagelsmann a beer after the coach’s first title.

Nagelsmann, 34 years old, he is the second youngest manager to win the Bundesliga. Matthias Sammer of Dortmund was a few days younger in 2002.

Although Dortmund have little hope left of catching up with Bavarian power, Marco Rose’s players want to delay their rivals’ title celebrations for another day. But visitors have to grieve at the cost of individual mistakes and missed opportunities.

Fürth remains at the bottom of the league after 31 games, 12 points from safety, with three games left.

Coach Stefan Leitl’s team bounced back last year, when they finished second in the second division, but never recovered from a poor start in the Bundesliga, despite encouraging performances in the second half of the season. Fürth lost all but one of their first 14 matches before getting their first win on the 15th day of the match by beating Union Berlin.

Also on Saturday, Union came from behind thanks to substitute Sven Michel to beat Leipzig 2-1 away and make up for Wednesday’s German Cup semi-final loss in Leipzig.

Michel tied at 86th and then assisted Kevin Behrens with his heel to score the win in 89th. The Union won in Leipzig for the first time.

Leipzig’s 15-game run unbeaten in all competitions allowed Leverkusen to reclaim third place. Leverkusen dropped to fourth place last weekend after losing at home to Leipzig, but the teams switched places again, leaving Leipzig in last place in the Champions League qualifiers.

Freiburg were fifth after being reached from behind from two goals to lead Borussia Mönchengladbach 3-2, before accepting Gladbach’s Lars Stindl to equalize 3-3 in extra time.

Cologne are seventh, behind Union, after beating Arminia Bielefeld 3-1, who remain second from bottom and the favorites to join Fürth in the second division. In addition, Eintracht Frankfurt tied with Hoffenheim (2-2).
