Diego Forlan left a great memory in Argentine football, playing in the shirt of Independent. And he is an idol in Uruguay, a team with which he established himself conquering an historic fourth place in South Africa 2010, the best result for the Charrúas from 1970 to today. He is a beloved boy, although he is known in the networks no one is forgiven.

It happens that cachavachaas he was baptized in these latitudes, he was the protagonist of a curious situation in instagram, after posting a happy family postcard, on the birthday of one of his children. The reason? The cake chosen at the time of the celebrations.

Away from football, Diego Forlán turns 44 in May. He has left a great memory in every club where he has played.

With a good past in clubs like Manchester Utd, Atletico Madrid AND Penarolo of MontevideoForlán retired from football in 2018, to spend more time with his wife, Paz Cardoso, and their four children, Martín, Luz, César and José.

And on the party dedicated to the 7th birthday of Martín, the eldest son of the family, the lit candle with the number in question appears set on a cake made with… toasted bread!

Difficult to be tempted by a portion, but impossible not to do so with the comments poor Forlán received, almost all in an ironic tone and focusing on the composition of the cake.

“The most original cake in history,” put one. “Dieguito, don’t you want me to lend you a few pesos for the cake?” someone asked him. “I love this family but I will never understand ‘false humility’, a pie with slices,” criticized a third. “A tower of bread hahaha,” summed up another.

In the photographic sequence, Diego also appears together with Martín with another cake, much more appetizing, with the name of the birthday boy, a Manchester United shield and an image of the former footballer with a Red Devils shirt.

Criticisms and mockery aside, it must be said, in the photos what stands out the most are the smiles of each of the members of the Forlán family, especially those of the children.

Winner of the Ballon d’Or in 2010 for his goals for Uruguay in South Africa, Forlán was present in Qatar during the Argentine team’s consecration and closely suffered from Celeste’s early elimination.

An undisputed idol and a striker of those who, continuing with the gastronomic issues, was always sweet in goal.
