There was a moment of extreme tension in the match between PSV and Sevilla for the Europa League. The Spaniards led by Jorge Sampaoli del Casilda lost 2-0 even if they advanced to the round of 16 of the Europa League thanks to a 3-0 victory in the first leg. But during the game a spectator leapt onto the grass at the Philips Stadion in injury time and attacked Sevilla goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovicbefore being subdued by stadium security.

The incident, which had no significant consequences for the Serbian goalkeeper of Sevilla, took place in the 92nd minute of the match, again at 1-0, when the young spectator held back jumped onto the pitch and headed towards Dmitrovic, who he even delivered a blow which, in principle, did not cause any problems for the player, who maintained his position on the field until the end of the match.

The person who invaded the field of play tried to punch the goalkeeper, but he slipped and it was not difficult for the 31-year-old (1.94m and 90kg) to defend himself against the attack. In fact, he managed to knock down the man who was not part of the match, managing to immobilize him for a few seconds until members of the stadium’s security corps arrived to arrest the attacker.

The invader was immediately reduced by the security of the PSV Eindhoven stadium, and after the match was stopped, Italian referee Daniel Orsato and players from both teams approached the Sevilla box to inquire about Dmitrovic’s condition , who told the referee he was fine, so a minute later the crash resumed.

World champion with Argentina national team Marcos Acuña started in Jorge Sampaoli’s squad and former River Lucas Ocampos joined the complement. However, the Spanish team did not have a good match and fell 2-0 to goals from Dutchman Luuk De Jong and Portuguese Fabio Silva. In any case, the sevillistas have agreed to the next instance of the Europa League.

After the match, the Serbian goalkeeper recounted how he lived the situation on the pitch: “He pushed me from behind, then he tried to hit me. He grazed my nose a bit. Well, the truth was that I wanted to hit him, but I didn’t it’s never good Yes he wants to hit, well let’s go to a sport like boxing, here in football they don’t deserve such things. But there’s always some drunk fans, some idiots jumping onto the pitch, but that shouldn’t happen.“.
