Achraf Hakimi, PSG and Moroccan national football player, are being investigated for rape

The Nanterre prosecutor’s office, located on the outskirts of Paris, opened an investigation on Mondayinvestigation into alleged rape against the Moroccan player from Paris SG Ahraf Hakimiindicated a source close to the case, confirming the information advanced by the newspaper Le Parisien.

The investigation was opened on a 24-year-old girl accuse the footballer of raping her recently at his home, located in the city of Boulogne-Billancourt, which is on the outskirts of the French capital.

Contacted by the AFP agency, the Nanterre prosecutor’s office refused to comment on this case, deploring “the information already published” by some media, “which hinders the investigations necessary to clarify the truth”.

According to the same source close to the case, the alleged victim appeared last Sunday at a police station in Val-de-Marne report the rape, but did not file a lawsuit.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office of Créteil has opened a official investigation and moved the trial to Nanterre, to which Boulogne-Billancourt belongs, the city where the attack allegedly took place.

Contacted by AFP, the Paris Saint Germain club did not react to the publication of this news.

Achraf Hakimi was born in Madrid 24 years ago, the son of Moroccan parents. He trained as a footballer at Real Madrid and could have been international with Spain, although in the end he decided to play for Morocco, a team with which he achieved an historic fourth place in the last World Cup in Qatar.

The son of a housekeeper and a street vendor who settled in Spain in the 1980s, Hakimi is married to Spanish actress Hiba Abouk.

He made his Real Madrid debut under coach Zinedine Zidane, although he later moved on through Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan, before signing for PSG.
