The situation sparked outrage in the athletics world. Not only because the Spaniard was left lying on the track, but because after the victory of Jason Joseph None of the athletes who participated in the final test approached or cared about Llopis’ health.

As reported by the Spanish Athletics Federation, the runner was taken away on a stretcher and was conscious. And, two and a half hours after the accident, he published a video in which Llopis showed he was in good condition. And Dr. Juan Manuel Alonso ensured that the hurdler was “conscious, oriented and with stable vital signs”. Furthermore, the studies carried out showed that Llopis did not have a neurological injury and that he had suffered a concussion.

After his victory, Jason Joseph apologized on his social networks: “First things first. I’m sorry I didn’t check you were okay. I was lost at that moment. Totally blocked by my surroundings. I hope you are well, see you in the outdoor competitions,” wrote the Basel hurdler.

Finally, Quique Llopis was discharged this morning, who reassured everyone in athletics. “Everything went well, now to recover,” said the Valencian athlete in a video that reassured followers of him.
