Alejandro Garnacho was injured in Manchester United’s goalless draw with Southampton on Sunday. The Argentine had come on in the 72nd minute and, in one of his attacks down the left wing, was intercepted by Walker Peters, who ran over and grabbed his right leg.
After the blow, Garnacho immediately expressed a lot of pain. United doctors entered the pitch and examined him. After taking him off the field, he was examined and ordered to return. And in that entrance he was encouraged again, he also continued to participate in the attacks, until he suffered the blow at the end of the game.
After the end of the match, he was seen leaving the stadium on crutches, so it could be serious. Medical tests are awaited to establish the extent of his injury. His participation with the Argentina national team is in danger, in the friendlies of 23 and 28 March against Panama and Curaçao.
