Manchester City-RB Leipzig, for the Champions League: timetable, how to watch it and possible formations

Manchester Citydirected by Catalan Joseph Guardiola and with the world champion Giuliano Alvarezreceives Leipzig, from Germany, in the rematch of the round of 16 of the Champions League and after drawing in the first leg.

The match will be played from 17:00 (Argentine time) at the Etihad stadium in the city of Manchester and will be broadcast by ESPN and the Star+ platform.

At the same time, and on Fox Sports, Inter, with another world champion in Qatar, Lautaro Martínez, will visit Porto with the advantage of the 1-0 victory obtained in the first leg played in Milan.

The winners will join the quarter-finals of the ‘Champions’ which has already ranked Bayern Munich, Benfica, Chelsea and AC Milan.

With Álvarez and probably Máximo Perrone on the bench of substitutesGuardiola’s team will be looking to establish themselves among the top eight in Europe’s biggest tournament.

The former River Plate player had no minutes in Germany but is a reliable offensive card for Guardiola as in the six games he has played he has contributed two goals and two assists.

The “Ciudadano” team starts as favorites having won 21 of their last 23 home games in the “Champions”.

The last defeat dates back to September 2018 against Olympique de Lyon (2-1).

Leipzig is experiencing its third participation in the Champions League after being the surprise of the 2019/20 edition which saw them in the semifinals.

In the other match Inter, with Lautaro Martínez starting and Valentín Carboni as an alternative, will defend the minimal advantage obtained at home in Portugal.

Joaquín Correa del Tucumán is still recovering from a muscle injury and remains out of the squad.

Inter must move on to the next round of the Champions League as they lost a key match in Serie A against Spezia (2-1) and were 18 points behind leaders Napoli.

The round of 16 will conclude this Wednesday with two matches: Napoli-Eintratch Frankfurt and Real Madrid-Liverpool, both at 17:00.

The draw for the quarter-finals and semi-finals will take place next Friday, 17 March.

The final of this edition will be held on June 10 in Istanbul, Turkey.
