the victim is Mark Florenceworker from the press area, who testified before the Criminal and National Criminal Prosecutor’s Office no. 22 that she had suffered “several situations of harassment and intimidation” by Martínez and that she was even “tempted” by the coach on the Yellow House property. This event would have occurred in March 2022.

As he explained in the statements to clarionAndrea Lucanglioni, Marco’s lawyer, the following day the Prevention and Institutional Action Protocol was activated for cases of discrimination, harassment and violence based on gender and sexual orientation, approved in September 2021 and which was at the center of the controversy over his performance in the scandal with the striker sebastian villa.

For this reason, they suggested “take a vacation”. Later they gave it to him a license pending the completion of the administrative opinion. At the public level, there was no institutional demonstration.

“This was the fact reported, but from Mr. Martínez’s first day of work, until he took his holidays, the victim suffered permanent harassment”expanded Lucanglioni.

With no internal progress, Martínez, meanwhile, continues in the position he reached at the start of 2022. Indeed, the former defender led the team that beat River 3-0 this Sunday in the Superclásico which was played at the Bombonera, for the women’s first division soccer league.

Marco, for his part, finds himself again “contained by his family and friends”the lawyer Lucanglioni revealed to this newspaper. “She’s not well, but she’s contained by her environment, by her colleagues and players, just think she’s been at the institute for 11 years and is much loved by everyone”complete.

What does the regulation created by the Inclusion and Equality Department of Boca say?

The denounced act falls within the rules that Boca has institutionalized at the instigation of the head of the Inclusion and Equality Department, Adriana Bravo, who also holds the position of third vice president.

This provision “contemplates all acts of gender-based violence that occur within the structures of the club or that affect it, as well as all people, without the need to distinguish the type of modality that links them to the institution”.

The protocol governs “the behaviours, actions, omissions and behaviors put in place by its authorities, managers, associates, collaborators, guests, participants, athletes, auxiliaries, employees, third parties who provide permanent or temporary services, free of charge, who collaborate with the institution, who are in the institution or in any of the fields of application and/or any other person who is recognized as an interested party within the institution or who influences it”.

The situations of violence recognized by this regulation reach the physical, psychological, sexual, economic and patrimonial and symbolic spheres.

The activation of the protocol requires the presentation of a complaint by the victim or a person close to her before the Inclusion and Equality Department of the circle, as required in Boca.

Once produced, the Department for Inclusion and Equality expects the complainant to be assisted by an interdisciplinary team created specifically for the case for the purpose of active, face-to-face listening.

Once this phase has been completed, Boca can initiate summary proceedings against the person reported or close the case. If there is a summary, resolution will be up to the club’s Disciplinary Tribunal.
