The Argentine football team, reigning world champions, is in first place in the world rankings compiled by FIFA, overtaking France, which is second, and Brazil, which is third, as announced today by the body.
Argentina, which had not been in first place since March 2017, leads the ranking with 1,840.93 points, followed by France, second in the world, with 1,838.45, and Brazil with 1,834.21.
This is the fifth time Argentina has reached the world number one in the rankings, which started in August 1993, and Lionel Messi was in each of the shortlists.
