Bielsa said he was treated with respect and that the exchange with citizens traveling on the crowded bus was natural and with great kindness. After experiencing that episode, for Bielsa there was no doubt about the human quality of Uruguayans and Uruguayans. And perhaps for this reason we also understand why Bielsa and his wife intend to settle in the Parque Miramar district, in the department of Canelones, located right on the departmental border with Montevideo.

For now, Bielsa has settled into a hotel four blocks from the home of Nacho Alonso, the president of the AUF. He is looking for a house in Parque Miramar, a place that seems ideal for El Loco. The ride he took clarion She draws some hasty conclusions: Bielsa will be able to go for a walk, live in peace and be disturbed only by the barking of dogs.

The neighborhood is not private, you don’t have to announce yourself at the door, it has no barriers or fences on the perimeter. There are no private security booths. It is a residential neighborhood located approx 15 minutes by car from the Centenario stadium if you drive straight on Avenida Italia. Near the Celestial Complex, the Fool’s new office. It has a few blocks (7×5, approximately) and around 1,200 houses. Before, about 50 years ago, it was a seaside resort where the inhabitants of Montevideo went on weekends to enjoy the beaches and the river.

It is located between the Carrasco stream, Las Américas avenue and A la Playa avenue. Its geography includes several artificial lakes and a very particular green environment, with trees of many varieties and a fauna including herons, geese, ducks, otters, turtles, wild birds and fish.

The houses are luxurious, even if they are not even palaces. Not like the ones on the shores of Carrasco Lakes, where a million-dollar real estate project is being developed after two islands have been built. If Bielsa chooses to move there, you will find yourself in a more exclusive area, but if you are looking for more comfort and tranquility, you should look for a house in García Lorca, Alfonsina Storni, José Martí or Violeta Parra streets. The “Lagos” project and Parque Miramar border.

The neighbors can’t believe they can have Bielsa in the neighborhood. Some think it’s impossible and that a man “with money” like him would choose to go to one of the gated communities in the area. It is that he enters Miramar Park by walking from the road without more barriers than the curious gaze of some residents. Everyone agrees that it is a very quiet, safe place with all the comforts that a person like Bielsa needs: open air, nature, silence and human warmth.

There is no physical real estate in the place, so Bielsa will have to hire a private agent of those real estate franchises. But you definitely won’t have a problem finding a house to make it your home.
