Paula Pequeno speaks out about Walewska’s death: ‘No one will know the cause yet’

Former volleyball player Paula Pequeno refutes speculation about the cause of Walewska Oliveira’s death: ‘Very delicate’

The former volleyball player Paula Pequeno spoke out on social media after seeing speculation about the cause of the former athlete’s death Walewska Oliveira, who passed away at the age of 43. For now, the family has not disclosed what happened to the former player and how she died. With that, Paula appeared on Instagram stories to ask for respect and an end to speculation.

“For the love of you. It’s a very delicate moment. Everyone is devastated, everyone is devastated by news like this. And there are people posting for likes and followers. For God’s sake! Have a little more respect. Stop being irresponsible”she said.

Soon after, she said that no one knows the cause of death before the investigation. “No one will know the reason, no one will know the cause yet until there is an investigation, until they draw up a script of what could have happened, analyze the entire body. Let’s wait for things to happen as they should. Respect, for the love of God. The volleyball world, the whole of Brazil, the family, are all desperate, in mourning and suffering”, he commented.

On her Instagram feed, Paula Pequeno paid tribute to her friend by making a post remembering Walewska’s joy on the court. “I want to remember you like this… warrior, obstinate, example of discipline, strength and intelligence. I’m glad I had time to tell you, looking into your eyes, how much I admired you. You have always been a leader, an example for our generation and for all others to come. Only those who were there in 2008 know how important it was to achieve that feat, in fact, the 12 are the most admirable women in my life and we have just lost one of the greatest. You go very early, there was a lot of elegance to spread off the courts too. If you were in suffering, now it has passed and you are already in the arms of the Father but if it is something different from that, the universe will show us and even so you will be at God’s side. Have eternal peace! Thank you for being part of our entire story“, he wrote.
