FIFA has ruled in favor of José Pekerman and the Venezuelan federation will have to pay him a millionaire sum

After his unexpected and controversial departure, the FIFA issued a resolution in favor of the experienced Argentine coach Jose Nestor Pekerman in response to his request made against the Venezuelan Football Federation (FVF), his last team, due to breach of contract. According to a ruling released in the last few hours but dated November 2023, the Court of the parent company of football asks FVF for a payment that corresponds to several factors: 1.71 million “compensation due” with the DT, plus 5% annual interest, which began to run from August 23 until the debt is paid, and 1.14 million for “contractual penalty”. The federation will have a maximum period of 45 days to make full payment.

Likewise, in the same document, FIFA clarifies that “all other claims of the plaintiff are rejected“There will therefore not be another judicial episode between the former coach of the Argentine national team and his last institution.

So far the current coach’s cycle has already surpassed Pekerman’s tenure in games played: in eleven meetingsaddition five wins, four draws and only two defeats.

Pekerman is currently without a club following his resignation from Venezuela. Beyond some rumors linking him as a possible coach of Boca after the resignation of Jorge Almirón, the coach has not yet shown any intention of sitting on the bench again.
