The tenth round of the Professional League Cup has concluded and the final stretch promises to be not for the faint of heart. In zone A there are five teams in the lead with 18 points. In Zone B, Godoy Cruz remains confident but there are seven teams separated by five points. Boca looked like the big winner of the day, but Lanús stole the title from them after the victory in Victoria and slipped to second place in the group.

In Zone A, with 18 points, River, Talleres, Argentino, Independiente and, late on Monday evening, dominate. But Instituto (17) and Barracas Central (16) are also on the alert. A little further away are Rosario Central (14) and Gimnasia (13). Yes, anything can still happen.

The areas of zone B are a little less tight, where Godoy Cruz leads with 20 points, followed by Estudiantes with 18 and Newell’s with 17. A fact: none of the three managed to add three points this day. The one who did it was Lanús, who beat Tigre and left Boca with desire, who had been filled after the 4-2 over Racing in the great match played at the Bombonera.

Defensa y Justicia also has 16 units and further back, still with possibilities, are Unión de Santa Fe (15) and Racing (14). And Tatengue and the Academy had a bad Sunday and were left empty-handed. The appointment will end on Tuesday with a duel in this area which will see Central Córdoba and Belgrano as protagonists, too far away from the one under discussion.
