The loss of the Cordoba player is the second that Scaloni has suffered from the initial list of 26 players that he presented last March 1st for the matches that the national team will play in the United States against El Salvador (Friday 22nd at 9pm). at the Lincoln Stadium Financial Field in Philadelphia) and Costa Rica (Tuesday 26th at 11.30pm at the Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles).

The first to be excluded from the list was Marco Senesi. The man from Concord was injured in the first half of the match that his team, Bournemouth, played against Burnley on March 3, valid for the 27th matchday of the Premier League. A few hours later, his club confirmed that the defender had suffered a second-degree tear to the hamstrings in his left leg.

The English club had communicated in the official press release that recovery would take eight weeks, which is why Scaloni had not included him in the initial roster. The goal is to arrive in the best possible conditions at the Copa América which will be played starting from June 20th in the United States.
