The trial over sexual abuse charges against former Boca Juniors women’s team coach Jorge Martínez has been suspended. This Monday, when the final hearing was to be held in the Comodoro Py courts, Judge Sergio Paduczak received a request for recusal from the lawyers of the former Xeneize footballer, who forced the sentence to be postponed for at least 48 hours, which will be rescheduled for next Wednesday, April 3, after Easter.
Martínez, accused by the former press manager of the women’s team Florencia Marcó of having touched her tail and harassed her several times during 2022, spoke as she left the court, in the company of her lawyer, and underlined that she was “psychologically destroyed”.

“With a bomb like this you don’t know where to hold on, it destroys you psychologically. What destroys you most is seeing your family suffer, seeing your children cry, seeing your parents over 78 explain what you are accused of and having to explain to them. For this reason we are at the disposal of Justice.”Martínez said in statements to the broadcaster A24.
Regarding Marcó’s complaint, he explained: “We had a very distant relationship, we met in training. From the first day all four of us worked together, with the goalkeeping coach, the physical trainer, the field assistant and I. We arrived on time. at breakfast, I don’t know when I thought of behaving like that. I couldn’t tell you the reason for the complaint. I simply dedicated myself to the work, to doing my job responsibly every day and to research so many goals that would help us, we had plotted. We are here to prove my innocence“.
“I think what they said was categorical. Of the 15 witnesses, 9 were women and they all declared that he was an excellent coach, that he had taught them a lot and that I never disrespected anyone. Then, what do you think? Miss Marcó, the testimonies are not my responsibility”, he added, speaking of the conduct of the trial last Friday, when the first day took place.
