How Arsenal and Bayern Munich reach the Champions League duel

Arsenal come to this match having beaten Brighton 3-0 in the Premier League and remaining one of the leaders of the English championship. For the Champions League, they eliminated Porto on penalties, after drawing 1-1 on aggregate.

Bayern Munich, for its part, just lost 3-2 in the Bundesliga against Heidenheim at the Voith-Arena, suffering their second consecutive defeat in the German championship, which leaves them almost out of the title fight. In the Champions League they left Lazio away with an aggregate score of 3-1.
