Diego Dabove quit being Banfield’s coach on Tuesday. After a meeting with the president of the Club, Eduardo Spinosa, the technical director decided to move away from the institution in the South of Greater Buenos Aires, where he did not reach the goal of qualifying for the quarterfinals of the Professional League Cup and had a very complicated – almost impossible- the passage to the next round of the Copa Sudamericana.
“The Board of Directors is grateful to Diego and his entire team for the work done, recognizing his deep dedication and professionalism,” the statement released by the club said.
And he added: “Given the next commitments that the club will have to face in the South American Cup and in the Professional League, the Board of Directors will soon resolve the hiring of new coaching staff.”
