Shock and mourning in Mexico. On Tuesday afternoon it was confirmed the death of former soccer player Antonio Salazar Castillo. From Chivas de Guadalajara, where he started his career, they manage to spread the sad news on social networks.
Sacred Flock made a publication on its official Twitter account informing fans about The Hulk’s death, as they nicknamed him, and expressed its condolences to the former player’s family, who also remember his time on the team when with so much love.
“We deeply regret the sensitive loss of Antonio ‘Hulk’ Salazar, who came out of our youth academy and debuted in El Rebaño in 2007. We send our condolences to family and friends”reading the post.
Salazar is 33 years old and the causes of his death are still unknown. So far, the only information that has been made public is that his body was found in the municipality of Tonalá, Jalisco. The Jalisco State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) has opened an investigation to determine more precisely what happened and denied rumors that Antonio had been burned to death.
“Although information has emerged about possible human identity through a variety of means, it is important to point out that such information cannot be substantiated by this social representation until the results of genetic tests are available”expressed from FGE.

Reports from various media pointed out that the former soccer player was found dead in the trunk of a white car after the Civil Protection Unit and local firefighters responded to a report of a fire in a car that appeared to have been abandoned.
Who is Hulk Salazar
Antonio Salazar Castillo was born in Ciudad Madero, Tamaulipas, on February 7, 1989. He began his professional career in 2007 with Chivas, making his full debut exactly in a classic against America. By 2008 he had already scored his first goal, but his stay in the top category did not improve and he went to the Expansion League.
In addition to being a member of the Guadalajara team, he also played for the Jaguares de Chiapas in two different stages, Altamira, Zacatepec, Santos de Guápiles (Costa Rica) and Cimarrones de Sinaloa, where he retired in 2015.
