The American Jaron “Boots” Ennis (29-0-0; 27KO) defeated Canadian Custio Clayton (19-1-1; 12KO) with a stunning second-round knockout of the 12-round IBF Welterweight World Title Elimination bout. This is in the preview of the match between Argentine Brian Castaño and American Jermell Charlo at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Los Angeles.

The Philadelphia native lifted the California crowd from their seats when he laid a large right hand on the temple of his opponent who ended the tournament.

In the first round, Boots Ennis was far superior, dominating the ring and getting the clearest shots. It was a duel of invincible fighters with dynamite in their fists.

And smelled the knockout …

First it was a jab and then a right volley that knocked the Canadian to the canvas. The referee stopped the fight and gave the fight to Ennis who reached 29 wins (27 knockouts) undefeated and wanted his shot at the welterweight title. The merits are not lacking.
