Conmebol has reached an innovative agreement so that its matches can be tracked from all devices and anywhere

Digital platforms are making a strong presence in the world of football and, as the Copa Libertadores and the Copa Sudamericana begin to define their group stages, Conmebol is closing several innovative agreements for 2023. After the announcement that Facebook and Disney will renew their agreements on broadcasting the Copa Libertadores matches, this is the turn of OneFootball.

The leading platform for the scope of football competitions has finally reached an agreement in which you can instantly stream clips of game highlights -both in the Copa Libertadores, as well as in the Copa Sudamericana and Recopa Sudamericana-, as well as complete summaries after each match. And all this, Free.

The agreement includes 314 matches that will be part of Conmebol’s competitions each season, and is scheduled for the 2023/26 season. In addition, it was announced that the OneFootball platform will produce content in both Spanish and Portugueseto cover all audiences of competitions in Conmebol.

Regarding the purpose of this agreement, Conmebol Commercial Director Juan Emilio Roa explained: “Fans can find their favorite content wherever they are and anytime. We’ve explored new ways and it means putting up emotions and desires of South America available to all. We will reach a new and younger audience through innovation and new technologies“.

This landmark deal, where users can track a live match feed with in-app alerts and notifications on all important events such as goals, red cards, penalties and more, is one in several announcements made by Conmebol. But in addition, the South American Football Confederation will also be undergoing changes regarding television.

In Argentina, ESPN will continue to have the rights to broadcast all Copa Libertadores matches, while all Copa Sudamericana matches will continue to be broadcast via DirecTV. As for the data that attracts the most attention, it’s worth highlighting a contract in between Conmebol at Paramount (Telefe)where there was an agreement for Televising of Libertadores against open television.

In this way, Conmebol’s competitions are once again innovating in terms of serving their matches, and amid the outcome of the Libertadores and Sudamericana cups, fans received the news that from next season they will have more possibility to follow your favorite teams, from television as well as from the football media platform, OneFootball.
