Gabriel Bourque played the heroes by scoring after just over 10 minutes of overtime and the Laval Rocket beat Syracuse Crunch 3-2 on Tuesday at the Upstate Medical University Arena to win their North Division semi-final series of American Hockey League (AHL).

Rocket won the series 3-2. He will face in the North Division final the winner of the series between Rochester Americans and Utica Comets. This series is tied at 2-2 and will know its outcome on Thursday.

Bourque scored with a high slap shot from the mitt side after Danick Martel intercepted a throw-in behind the net.
