The President needs support (from his Government)

The chief of staff, Juan Manzur, had to say explicitly on Thursday, when at the end of the cabinet meeting he asked ministers to please attend the UOCRA event to be chaired by President Alberto Fernández this Friday.

It is difficult to find similar situations in the history of governments. Typically, ministers, secretaries, secretaries and directorsand strive to board official planes or get places in boxes of actions, if possible very close to the presidents. The common thing is there are people who devote themselves to cutting places from guest lists to political meetings and no longer are cabinet leaders asking ministers for proof of affection for presidents.

The answer lies in the weakness of that government. In addition to the poor results of the Fernández administration, if the battle between the President and Vice President has any outcome, it is the two rivals. is in a worse condition than they have previously shown to start the fight.

Many officials hope to be included in the legislative lists of unified or split Peronism for next year and it is therefore convenient for them to lower their profile: One thing is to be an Albertista and another to be a Peronista and face Cristina Kirchner in a PASO or a general election. or on the lists it supports.
