Another weekend for the TC2000. In its quest to regain identity and strengthen its path as a category, among the variables used by the new leadership, a special date was chosen, with double race, mandatory wheel replacement (right in front) and the possibility to expand the list of winnersat a time when Agustín Canapino (Chevrolet), with his achievements, and Julián Santero (Toyota), in his performance, dominated the championship.
But their respective allies appeared. Teammates, squires, were the main characters this very special Sunday for the TC2000 at Centenario racetrack, Neuquén.
The classification was in the news already on Saturday, with the dominance of Ignacio Montenegro (Renault), who achieved pole position at the age of 17, the youngest in the history of the discipline.
But in the race, everything changed. Not just because the strategy has to be strict, because the obligation to change tires can be in either of the two competition. But as the role of weather dominates, there is a mist threatening the first test.
After Montenegro’s poor start, Barrio and Llaver beat him to claim the first victory. However, the young Toyota driver continued on his walk and Llaver bet on everyone in the second competition, so he went in to replace the tire.. It was for this reason that his first success with the TC2000 was by Barriothe podium was occupied by Montenegro and Facundo Ardusso, who used Honda from last year to look for better performance after the first dates of a disturbing performance.

At his successful baptism of TC2000, Barrio commented: “I’m happy for the points, for the victory, for the guys on the team who fought for it in the first four races. It was a hard adaptation, it cost me the car, but I’m slowly getting closer, the result shows it ”.
Pinamar pilot added: “We achieved a very strong victory against a Llaver who also does a great job, I’m demanding and we were able to respond there, happy for the car we have now and for the success.”
For the second race, everything went according to plan for Chevroletbecause the four in front had to go into the pits for the obligatory replacement of the tires and there everything was served for Llaver, who after a very good performance, compelled in his walk, took the lead in the test to ensure victory.
Everything was as planned on the team, but not for Llaver himself, who didn’t really know the strategy: “Everyone on the team, I don’t know the strategy over the car. It was weird when they told me because I was second, but it went well and because of the team. I’m excited, it’s very hard to win and now it’s given to us “admitted the Mendoza man after his win.

“Cars with kilos are hard, the amount I come from the tail, especially in the first laps until I roughly settled down. For me there are faster vehicles like from Barrio or Montenegro, with no kilograms, but the approach works.”, He indicated to Carburando, although he admitted: “It’s going to be hard now to carry 60 kilos, but being the leader in the championship is a beautiful thing.”
Ultimately, it was a victory for Llaver in the second final of the TC2000 in Neuquén, he was joined by Matías Milla and Leonel Pernía, who were not too happy with this result, as he certainly hoped the team would give him. the place of his colleague, Milla, in the pursuit of the championship. On the other hand came Agustin Canapino and Fabián Yannantuoni (Puma Energy Honda Team).
in the championship, Llaver was the new leader with 110 points, followed by Santero with 102 and Canapino with 96. The next TC2000 date is on June 12 at the Termas de Río Hondo racetrack, in Santiago del Estero.
