“Real Madrid CF announce that our manager Pablo Laso has been admitted to the Sanitas La Moraleja University Hospital after suffering a myocardial infarction earlier today,” the Madrid agency said.

Laso is 54 years old and has been the manager of Real Madrid since 2011. In February 2021 he overtook Lolo Sainz and is the DT with the most direct matches from the club.

As a player, after a long 19-year career in the Spanish ACB league, he is the all-time leader in assists (2,896) and steals (1,219). He is also in the top 10 for games played (624) and minutes played (17,378).
